LOCKED-UP IN LOEWE
A series of 'Self-isolation Self-portraits...in collaboration with SHOWstudio in which I pictured myself in a dress from the iconic Spanish fashion label Loewe which relates to all times. It has a sense of romance with it’s silhouette and abundance of fabric & pleats and is seemingly futuristic with it’s sharply cut black body.
The garment re enforces the idea of isolation- not only in space but also in time. Wearing the dress is like being transported to another era.
I am expressing the feeling of being cramped into a room. In which my body is overflowing the bounderies. with my head against the ceiling. Exploring my position in this garment as if it is a tent. Making sure it stays on not sliding of my shoulders I look confused, which is exactly how I feel.
